A few of you know that I was going to meet with a few potential new roommates for the spring semester. Instead of living in the college dorms (two person to a single room), I was looking at a 4-bedroom apartment. One of the girls is leaving at the end of this semester, and they wanted to pick their new roommate instead of going potluck. Well, I met them and they were super nice. We all sort of determined we liked to be quiet, keep to ourselves, be social when we wanted to be, etc. They were trying to find a roommate soon because of requirements on the "find a replacement by..." deadline. Another girl was interested, but she was a freshman. They said they wanted someone older and more mature. They told me they'd decide very soon.

... Very soon was 30 minutes later. XD

They talked about it and yes, I qualified! C8 So I'm getting out of this damn room with the grunting-bitchy-black-assed girl! 8D I will have my own room! And a kitchen, where I'll be able to make stuff! And a big fridge with a freezer. And a washer and dryer!

The only difference is this:
Dorm room (2 people in a very small room) + 20 meals (I usually only eat 12 or so): $3376
My own room in an apartment with 3 other girls + 5 meals: $3420

I can sacrifice the meals. I'll just buy sandwich meat and cereal. XD And actually, it will cost about $300 more (for the semester) because of utilities which are about $45 a month.

I think it's sooooooooooooooooo worth it! My own room! <3 Quiet apartment-mates! <3 A kitchen! <3

I'm super excited. This was me after they called me:


I'll be moving in on Dec. 18, I think. But that's when break begins, so I might move in AFTER break or something. IDK yet.

That means only about 3 weeks left with the betch I have for a roommate now! 8D Yayyyyy!

One bad thing is I'll lose my job here at the dorm, but since the apartments are still connected teh university, I should, in theory, be able to transfer over. *keeping my fingers crossed* ... If not, I'll be jobless. T_T That won't be good. D; Here's hoping!
